Muddy Dog

Returning to the scene of the "crime" Last weekend, Dave, Jake and I returned to Debbie's house. Debbie was the owner of Jake, until he fell in love with Dave, while we built stairs and a deck by Debbie's pool. On Saturday, everyone kept commenting on how WHITE Jake was....... Sunday was clearly a different story.

Between the interment rain and all the "red mud" ........ Jake returned to his dirty glory!!!!

Swing Set

This weekend, Dave was "hired" to build a swing set for Debbie's granddaughter. Just my luck, on Saturday, which was a gloriously sunny day, I forgot my camera. This was our starting point on a dreary and wet Sunday.

Luckily with all of Dave's exercising and slimming down, he was able to fit through the window to continue the assembling.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh my monkey boy, who needs a ladder when you have Dave's balance and skill.

As the day progressed the sun tried to appear.... and here it was so bright and sunny as we heard the down pour coming.

Dave took refuge in the play house.

with his buddy, Jake, not far behind

Can you see the bright sunshine................ AND the rain drops????

TA-DA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Completed in less than 15 hours, with just a little help from 3 gals, (Debbie, her daughter Amanda and I) 1 kid, (Hannah, for whom we were building the swing set for) 2 fellas (a family friend, Jeff and Craig.)
The directions estimated 20 hours with 2 skilled handymen.

This week's update

So I have had a horrible cold all week and it got so bad, I left work early on Friday. I spent most of the weekend in bed.

I was hoping to take pictures of how Dave has upgraded his grill, but rain and my desire to stay in bed made it not happen!

Although I did take some before some pictures of projects Dave is working on for the house, but aren't yet completed and can't be blogged about just yet.

More pics and more posts are coming soon

Wii Party

Last weekend, instead of watching the OSCAR'S....we went to the Jimenez's. First, so Bo and Jake could meet AND second, we could play Wii, with 4 controllers.

Bo shadowed Jake the whole night, just the way Jake shadow's Dave. I thought it was hilarious, since it seem Jake got annoyed by the end of the evening.

First game of the night was Wii tennis.
It was cool to see all 4 players on the court, instead of 2 characters being doubled.

With our a doubt, EVERY time we go over to their house, Juan will give Dave at least 1 beer.
Dave is a good sport and even drinks it.

"Say Cheese!"

Janelle "lines up" to help her bowling.

It is so much fun watching people play Wii bowling. They get sooooooooooo in to it!!!!!!!!!!

The best action shot of the day is Janelle jumping for joy after a strike!!!

Biz Bowling

This is Audra, with her "MOM" face on. She works with me @ World, and she is the person who told me that Dave and I were going to be on her team for the Junior Achievement Biz Bowl.

I don't think we had a choice, but we were glad to join!

Little bit of trivia............
Audra and Stacie (pic shown next) and my BFF Ashley (not shown) are all sister and all work for World.

This is our bowling team,
(from Left to Right)
Ed, Stacie's boyfriend, Stacie, April, then Dave and I.

I think this is a great picture of Dave and I, of course he is on his tippy toes! hehehehe

This is Faith, I work with her in H.R. and her husband, Josh. She was also recruited to be a part of Audra's team. Audra, we discovered, recruited so many people for her team she was able to have 3 teams, but only bowled on 1.

April, goofing off before we started bowling

Half way decent picture of Dave, at least he isn't sticking his tongue out at the camera!!!

Although Stacie said she and Ed had taken their picture together already for the year, I made them pose for another one!

April, Cynthia and her husband. April and Cynthia work in bankruptcy together.

Part of the fun was decorating a bowling pin. This is what Dave, Stacie, Ed and I came up with : it is a Bowling PINguen! Dave made an acrylic stand so it could lean.... and gave it a bowling ball with real finger holes, Stacie decorated, Ed and I consulted!!!

New Posts

I can not believe a whole month has flown by and I haven't posted. I am horrible at this!!!!!

I would love to say we have been so incredibly busy, I have had time to post all our adventures, but really that is not true.

What is new:

I have been appointed to the Social Committee chairperson of our new subdivision.
** I hope to take pictures of those events, whenever they get rolling**

I plan on starting a sewing class on Monday nights, with Miguelina Jimenez.

This Friday, Dave and I will be bowling at the Junior Achievement Fundraiser, so I hope to take some pictures there.

Next Friday (3/12) I am hosting another "girls only" party and I hope to have a better turnout then I did at my last one!!! Age appropriate pics will be posted.

We have been getting ready for our first visitors from MI, that will be staying at our place for more than 24 hours, I am soooooooooo excited.
